Healing needs more hands than ours

Every shilling and every hour goes toward one aim: care that reaches the person who could not otherwise afford it.

Partner with us

We work with donors, foundations, United Nations agencies, government departments and health institutions. If mental health, gender-based violence prevention or humanitarian wellbeing sits within your mandate, we would welcome the conversation.

Read the book

Buying Broken Souls supports the work directly, and it is the clearest explanation of why this organisation exists at all.

Give

Donations subsidise counselling for people who cannot pay, fund outreach, and keep the support lines answered. Get in touch and we will show you exactly where it goes.

Tell someone we exist. Most people who need this kind of help never hear that it is available to them, and a single conversation has started more recoveries than any campaign we could run. If you would rather leave something behind than say it out loud, ask us for bookmarks and stickers to put where people will see them.

Bookmarks, stickers and flyers

We print them, we hand them out, and we have never charged anyone for them. They go inside books, on laptop lids, on the noticeboard in the staff room, and each one carries a code that takes a person straight to somewhere they can get help.

Small things do more work than they look like they should. Somebody picks a bookmark out of a library copy, scans it on the walk home, and finds out that what they have been carrying has a name and that other people carry it too.

Ask us for a batch for your office, your campus, your church or your reading group. Tell us roughly how many you need and where in Kenya you are, and we will get them to you.

Storytelling is part of the medicine

Humanitarian Chronicles, the podcast of the network

Raw, honest conversations from the minds and hearts of humanitarian workers: missions, trauma, triggers, coping, and the laughter that keeps us going. New episodes and guests from across the humanitarian sphere. Because telling the story is part of healing it.
